We are looking for bookworms, music lovers, and movie/TV enthusiasts to help with current releases, features, interviews, and reviews across various genres. We need team players who can consistently contribute and have the writing skills to accurately describe the releases, interview artists, shape opinions, and champion the arts.

Unfortunately, these are unpaid positions initially but, in addition to receiving full editorial credits and social media exposure, we offer perks with the potential to earn paid commissions in the future. Occhi Arts and Entertainment Bid Writer

 

Occhi Arts and Entertainment is looking for a bid writer/ coordinator, who loves the arts and wishes to join our small team. Occhi works with the objective to promote different arts, to encourage an intercultural understanding between different communities and societies.

The Bid Writer/ Coordinator will play a critical role by assisting Occhi’s management prepare proposals that help further develop and establish the organisation as a leading brand, a champion of the arts, and a promoter of artists through its annual events and media platforms.

This role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to gain experience in the cultural arts and entertainment sector, and loves to ‘give back to their community’. The role is for you if you are looking for flexibility and autonomy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Apart from writing proposals, you will also be reviewing and editing previously written content wherever necessary.

  • Working with other team members to produce bid responses and writings

  • Help in writing funding applications for the varied projects that we run in order to meet our organisational objectives.

  • Help with presentations and all supporting documentation.

 

General tasks

  • Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

 

Essential

  • You will need to have good written skills

  • Able to write effective, concise and compelling content

  • You will be self-starting and willing to research and look for new funding opportunities that match our aims and objectives;

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines

  • Well organized, proactive and able to deliver tasks efficiently.

  • Able to speak confidently with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Good time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and excel.

  • To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments

  • Strong team player

  • Ability to work independently and ask for clarification when needed.

 

We are looking for someone who can offer 10 hours a week, Monday – Friday.

  • Working knowledge of the arts and creative industries

  • Must be able to prioritise and multi-task.

  • Exceptional organization skills and time management techniques.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-up.

  • A very high degree of honesty, integrity, and sound judgment.

 

Ideal Background:

  • A minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years with consultative or solutions selling approach in prior jobs..

  • Demonstrated knowledge of negotiation tactics and persuasive techniques.

  • Proven ability to grow, track, and report sales and activities

  • Proven track record of hitting your annual quota for successive years.

  • Proven ability to engage and influence partners at the sales leadership level.
